Marinade:
l/3 cup soy sauce
l/3 cup veggie oil
3 med garlic cloves, pressed through garlic press
l tbsps. dark brown sugar
l tbsps. tomato paste
l tbsps. chili powder
2 tsp. ground cumin
l/4 tsp. cayenne
Combine all ingredients in small bowl.
Gas grilled sirlo9in steak tips:
Combine marinade and meat in gallon size zip lock bag; press out as much air as possible and seal bag. Refrigerate l hr. flipping bag after 30 mins to ensure that meat marinates evenly. Remove steak tips from arinade and pat dry with paper towels. Grill uncovered until well seared and dark brown on first side, about 4 mins. Using tongs flip steak and grill until second side is well seared and thickest part of meat is slitly less done that desired 4 to 5 mins for med rare (about l30 on instant read thermometer), 6 to 8 mins for med (about l35 on therm.)if extgerior of meat is browned but steak is not yet cooked thru move steak to cooler side of grill and continue to grill to desired doneness. Transfer to cutting board; tent loosely with foil and let rest 5 mins. Slice steak very thinly on the bias; serve meediatley with lime or orange wedges.
