rbeque Ribs with Rum

4 lb. spareribs cut to serve
l cup brown sugar, firmly packed
l/4 cup catsup
l/4 cup soy sauce
l tsp. dry mustard
l/2 cup chili sauce
l/4 cup dark rum
l/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, crushed
l dash pepper
Wrap ribs in double thickness of foil and bake for l-l-l/2 hours at
350 degrees. Unwrap and drain drippings. Combine all ingredients
and pour over ribs. Marinate at room temp. for l hour. Bake at 350
30 mins., basting with sauce, or grill 30 mins. 4″ above coals
turning and basting. Serves 4.
