SWEET APPLE BUCKLE
l0 apples )sweet varieties such as Cortland or Golden Delicious)
l cup flour
l cup sugar
l tsp. baking powder
l/2 tsp. salt
l egg lightly beagten
l/2 cup butter; melted
groun cinnamon
whipped cream or ice cream
Prehat oven 350. Peel, core and slice apples you should have aobut ll cups. Arrange them in l3x9″ baking
dish that’
s 2″ deep. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in the beaten egg with a pastry blender until
crumbly; sprinkle over the apples. Evenly pour the melted butter over the top. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.
Bake for 45 mins. or until golden brown on top and the apples are soft. If desired, serve with whipped cream or
