l/2 lb. macaroni
l tbsps. salt
l tbsps. veggie oil
4 tbsps. butter
l/2 lb. fresh mushrooms sliced
2 tbsps. butter
l cup light cream
l l0 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
3/4 cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese
l lb. cooked shrimp shelled and deveined
l cup cooked crabmeat
l cup soft bread crumbs
l tbsps. butter
Add the salt and bvdggie oil to 3 qts. boiling water. Add the macaroni and boil r apidly for l0 mins.
Drain and toss with 4 tbsps. butter. Saute mushrooms in 2 tbsps. butter for about 5 mins. shaking the pan
frequently. Mix the cream, mushroom soup and cheddar together and add to the macaroni. Add the
mushrooms, shrimp and crabmeat which have been cut into bite size pieces. Place in buttered casserole
top with soft bread crumbs which have been tossed with l tbsps. melted butter. Bake in 350 oven for
25 mins. Serves 6. Best of New England CookbookYou could forget the crabmeat and add l more cup shrimp.
