l 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
3 tbsps. butter, melted
2 cups cubed cooked chicken
l/4 tsp. salt
l/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsps. milk
l tbsps. chopped chives or onion
l tbsps. chopped pimento, if desired
l 8 oz. can Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls
3/4 cup seasoned croutons
Heat oven to 350. In med. bowl, blend cream cheese & 2 tbsps. of the
butter until smooth. Add next 6 ingredients; mix well. Separat dough
into 4 rectang;es; firmly press perforations around edges together
to seal. Spoon l/2 cup meat mixture onto center of each rectangle.
Pull 4 corners of dough to top center of chicken mixture, twist
slightly & seal edges. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush tops
with reserved l tbsps. butter; sprinkle with crouton crumbs. Bake at
350 for 20-25 mins. or until golden brown. Serves 4.
ANOTHER VARIATION; Take boneless chicken breasts and put them throug
h the food processor. Add Worcestershire sauce, chopped water chest-
nuts and some soy sauce, garlic powder and Knorr seasoning for meat,
and saute in skillet in the butter until the chicken is cooked. Add
the cream cheese last. Then place this mixture on the crescent dough
