8 oz. Campanelle pasta
16 cups chopped broccoliRabe (1 bunch)
4 tbsps. butter
8 oz. link Italian sausage
2 tbsps. minced garlic
1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/4 cup flour
2-1/2 cups whole milk
Minced zest of one lemon
Cook according to box. Add broccoli in last minute of cooking; drain and
transfer to large bowl.
Melt butter in large skillet oover med heat. Add sausage; sear until browned on both sides 8 mins.
on both sides 8 mins. Transfer sausage to cutting board;slice on the bias and
return to skillet for 4-5 mins. to finish cooking; transfer to paper towel.
Stir in garlic and pepper flakes& cook 30 secs. Whisk in floour & cook 1 min.
Slowly whisk in milk and zest. Bring sauve to boil, whisking constantly
until thickened about 8-9 mins. Season with S&P. Add sausage back to skillet to heat. Toss sauce
back to skillet to heat. Toss sauce and sausage with broccoli rabe.
