RIBS WITH RUM

BARBEQUED RIBS WITH RUM
4 lbs. sparetribs cut to serve
l cup brown sugar, firmly packed
l/4 cup catsup
l/4 cup soy sauce
l tsp. dry mustard
l/2 cup chili sauce
l/4 cup dark rum
l/4 cup Worcestrershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, crushed
l dash pepper
Wrap ribs in double thickness of foil and bake for l-l/2 hrs. at 350. Unwrap and drain
drippings. Combine all ingredients and pour over ribs. Marinate at room temp. for
l hour. Bake at 350 for 30 mins. basting with sauce or grill 30 mins. 4″ above coals turning
and basting. Serves 4
