Potatoes are arranged in a fan-like pattern over onions in this
attractive vegetable dish.
4 potatoes, peeled
l-l/2 onions, sliced
Chicken broth
Salt, pepper
Dried thyme, crushed
3 bay leaves
Dash MSG (optional)
Cut potatoes into l/4″ thick slices. Press slices together to re-
form potato. Sprinkle onion slices in bottom of greased 5″ deep
casserole. Place re-formed potatoes on top of onions, allowing them
to fan out slightly. Cover with chicken broth. Season to taste with
salt & pepper and thyme. Add bay leaves and MSG. BAke at 350 for
45 mins. or until fork tender.
Makes 8 (?) servings.
