2-3/4 cups sugar
l cup corn oil
3 large eggs
l-l/2 tsps. vanilla extract
l tsp. almond extract
3 cups all purpose flour
2 tbsps. poppy seeds
l-l/2 tsps. baking powder
l/2 tsp. salt
l-l/2 cups milk
Glaze: l cup powdered sugar, l/4 cup orange juice, l/4 tsp. almond
extract.
For Cake: Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour l2-cup bundt pan. Us
ing electric mixer, beat first 5ingredients in large bowl to blend.
Mix flour, poppy seeds, baking powder and salt in med. bowl. Stir
dry ingredients alternately with milk into sugar mixture, beginning
and ending with dry ingredients. Pour batter into prepared pan.Bake
until tester inserted near center comes out clean, about 50 mins.
Cool cake in pan on rack l0 mins.
Meanwhile prepared glaze; Whisk all ingredients in small bowl to
blend. Turn out cake onto rack. Spoon glaze over warm cake. Cool
cake completely. Slcie and serve.
