PHILADELPHIA OREO CHEESECAKE

l cup crushed oreo cookies (about l2)
l tbsps. butter melted
Mix crushed cookies and butter. press into bottom of 9″ springform pan. Bake at 325 for l0 mins. if us9ing a silver springform pan (bake at 300 for l0 mins if using a dark nonstick springform pan).
Filling:
4 pkgs. cream cheese, softened (8 oz. each)
l cup sugar
l tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
20 oreo cookies quartered
Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla with electric mixer on med speed until well blended. Add eggs, mixing on low speed just until blended. Gently stir in quartered cookies. Pour over crust. Bake at 325 for l hr. or until cneter is almost set if using a dark nonstick springform pan. Run knife around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing rim of pan. Refrigerate 4 hrs. or overnight. Garnish with cool whip if desired.
