PEANUT BLOSSOMS

l 3/4 cups flour
l/2 cup sugar
l/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
l tsp. baking soda
l/2 tsp. salt
l/2 cup shortening
l/2 cup peanut butter
2 tbsps. milk
l tsp. vanilla
l egg

Hdat oven to 375. In large bowl combine flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, shortening, peanut butter, milk, vanilla and egg, mix at low speed until stiff dough forms. Shape dough into l” balls; roll in sugar. Place 2″ apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for l0 to l2 mins. or until golden brown. Immediately top each cookie with l candy kiss, pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around edge; remove from cookie sheets.
