l lb. orzo
salt for cooking water plus l/2 tsp.
2 med onions
4 cloves garlic
4 tbsps. butter
3 tbsps. chopped fresh Italian parsley
white pepper to taste
Cook the orzo in boiling salted water according to directions until tende.r Drain and place in a larbe bowl. Meanwhile finely dice the onions, Mince the garlic cloves finely. Melt the butter in a med saute pan over med high heat. Saute the onion in butter for aobut 3 mins. or tuntil translucent. Add the garlic and continue to saute stirring occasionally for another minute.. Add the onion-garlic mix to the orzo. Sprinkle the parsley. l/2 tsp. salt and white pepper over the mixture and toss well. Serve warm Serves 6-8 Bildners
