l lb. bacon
l small head cabbage
l poujd bowtie noodles (or curly egg noodles)
l good sized onion, chopped
Cook bacon until crisp. Set aside to cool. Grate or blend cabbage & onion. Add to same pan. Leave in the bacon fat. Fry cabbage and onion until golden to dark brown (this takes some time). Besure to stir occaionally. While cabbage if frying cook noodles. Once the cabbage is completely fried, crumble bacon into cabbage mixtur and add to the drained noodles. Put in baking dish, cover and bake at 350 for about l5 mins or until hot all the way through.
