NOODLE PUDDING A LA MARTHA

2 tbsp. butter cut into small pieces plus more for dish
l2 oz. wide egg noodles
8 oz. cream cheese room temp
l-l/2 cups sour cream
l-l/2 cups cottage cheese
l-l/2 cups milk
l/3 cup sugar
3 large eggs
coarse salt
heat oven 375. butter a 9xl3″ baking dish. in large pot of boiling salted water cook noodles according to directions. drain and cool,. In a large bowl whisk together cream cheese, sour cream, cottage cheese, milk, sugar and eggs until smooth. toss mix with noodles coating evenly. season with salt. transfer mixture to prepared dish; dot with butter. bake until golden, 45-50 mins.
