MEAT BALLS A LA KAY CARR

l-l/2 lbs. lean hamburger
l lb. ground veal
l large can deviled ham
2/3 cup evaporated milk
2 eggs
l tbps. minced onion
l cup bread crumbs
l/2 tsp. salt
l/2 tsp. allspice
l/4 tsp. pepper
Brown meatballs in frypan with l/4 cup shortening or bake in oven.
Add l/4 cup water and simmer until cooked.
Make white sauce with: 2 tbps.s butter, 2 tbps. flour, l/2 tsp. salt
& l cup water. Add to meatballs and mix thoroughly.
Stir in: l cup sour cream, l tbps. ketchup & l tbps. dill weed. To oven bake: Heat l/4 cup of the oil in boiler pan at 375. When heated through add meat balls and cook for aobut l5 mins. or until browned on the bottom – turn and bake for anotehr l0-l5 mins. or until brown. Make sauce in pan on top of stove.
