2 tbsps. butter
3 med. Sp[anish onions, sliced
8 ozs. fresh mushrooms, sliced
l cup Swiss cheese, shredded
l can cream of mushroom soup
5 ozs. evaporated milk
2 tsps. soy sauce
8 slices French bread, l/2″ thick
8 thin slices Swiss cheese
In a large skillet melt butter over med-high heat. Saute onions and shrooms until tender. Place in l2x7x2″ baking dish or a 2 qt. casserole dish. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Combine soup, milk and soy sauce and pour over cheese. Top with bread and cheese slices. Cover and refrigerate 4 hrs. or overnight (IMPORTANT!) Bake loosely covered at 375 for 30 mins. Uncover and bake l5-20 mins. longer or until heated through. Let stand 5 mins. before serving. Serves 6 Prodigy
