1/3 cup sliced almonds
3 tbsps. butter cut into pieces
2 tsp. lemon juice
2 lbs. green beans, stem ends trimmed
l/2 cup water
Toast almonds in laerge skillet over med low heat, stirring often until just golden about 6 mins. Add butter and cook stirring constantly until butter is golden brown and has nutty aroma about 3 mins. Transfer almond mixture to bowl and stir in lemon juice. Add beans, water and l/2 tsp. salt to empty skillet. Cover and cook stirring occasionally until beans are nearly tender, 8 to 10 mins. Remove lid and cook over med high heat until liquid evaporates, 3 to 5 mins.Off heat add reserved almond mixturre to skillet and toss to combine. Season with salt and serve.
