3-l/4 cups chopped walnuts
2 cups sugar
l cup farina
l sp. cinnamon
l/2 tsp. nutmeg
l tsp. baking powder
l0 eggs
2 sti cks buter, melted and cooled
Mix walnuts, sugar, farina, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder in a separate bowl. Beat eggs and add slowly to sugar mixtue. Add cooled melted butter and mix well. Pour into buttered 9xl3″ pan. Bake at 350 for 45-50 mins.
Syrup for cake:
2-l/2 cups sugar
2-l/2 cups water
Bring to a boil. Add l/4 cup honey and slice of lemon. Bring to boil again. Cool and pour over cake while pan is still hot. Cut when very cool. Concord Monitor Very delicious!
