3-l/2 to 4 lbs. lean steak cut into l” cubes
2 heads of garlic separated into cloves and peeled
2 bay leaves
l large onion sliced into rings and separated
l0 black olives optional
l 28-oz. can crushed tomatoes
l/3 cup olive oil
Heat oven 325. In a 3-qt. glass baking dish layer meat, garlic cloves, bay leaves, onion slices and olives. Pour the tomatoes evenly over the top and then do the same with olive oil. Bake for 3-l/2 hrs. stirring occasionally.
