DOLE GOLDEN LAYER CAKE

l 20 oz. can crushed pineapple in juice
l carton (8 oz.) frozen whipped topping, thawed
l pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
l pkg. frozen pound cake, thawed
l/3 cup almond-flavored liqeur (or l/3 cup pineapple juice & l/2 tsp
almond extract
Optional garnish: Dole sliced pineapple; l/4 cup sliced almonds,
toasted.
Combine undrained pineaple, whipped topping & pudding mix. Let stand
5 mins. Cut cake lengthwise in thirds. Drizzle with liqeur. Spread
one-third pudding mixture over bottom layer of cake. Top with second
layer. Repeat layering, ending with pudding. Chill 30 mins. Sprinkle
with toasted, sliced almonds & garnish with pineaple slices, if
desired.
Serves 12. This filling is enough for 2 cakes.
