6 small scallions
l garlic clove
l lb. jumbolump crab meat
8 ozs. cream cheese, softened
l/3 cup sour cream
l tbsps. drained bottled horseradish
2 tsps. lemon juice
l tsp. Dijon mustard
l tsp. Worcestershire sauce
l/2 tsp. salt
l/4 tsp. cayenne
Finely chop scallions and mince garlic. Pick over crab meat to remove any bits of shell. In a bowl stir together cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and stir in all ingredients except crab until combined well. Stir in crab until just combined. Chill crab spread covered at least 8 hrs. and up to l day to develop flavors. Serve crab spread with sesame crackers. Gourmet Jan. l999
