l-3/4 cups flour
l-l/12 cups powdered sugar
l/2 cup cocoa powder
2 sticks butter, cold
l 8 oz. pkg cream cheese, softened
l l4-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
l egg
2 tsp. vanilla
l/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Heat oven 350. In large bowl combine flour, sugar & cocoa. Cut in butter until mixis crumbly and rather dry. If you don’t mind a little mess it is easier to do this with your hands. Reserve 2 cups of the mix for the topping. Press remaining mix into the bottom of ungreased 9xl3″ glass pan. Bake the crust for l5 mins. While crust is baking beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually beat in condensed milk until smooth. Add theegg and vanilla. Mix well. Pour the cream cheese mix over the crust. If you are using walnuts combine them with the 2 cups of reserved cocoa mix. Sprinkle over the top of the cream cheese filling. Bake for 25 mins until bubbly. Chill, cut and store in refrigerator.
