She lost her copy of the recipe which was originally printed back in 1990. I am thrilled to share it with her and all of you again; it gives me great joy to know that my recipes stand the test of time and bring so much happiness to you and your loved ones. These bars are like peanut butter brownies covered in chocolate, yum!Cheers,KathleenPeanut Butter Swirl BarsIngredients1 cup all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt1/2 cup smooth peanut butter1/3 cup salted butter, softened3/4 cup firmly packed dark-brown sugar3/4 cup granulated sugar2 eggs2 teaspoons vanilla extract2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chipsDirectionsPreheat the oven to 350 degrees.In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, and salt.In a large bowl, beat peanut butter, butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy. Gradually beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture.Pour into a greased 13- by 9-inch pan. Sprinkle chips on top of batter. Bake for 3 minutes.Remove from oven and run a knife through at 2-inch intervals to marbleize. Bake for 30 minutes more, until they spring back to touch and an inserted toothpick comes out clean.Yield: 4 dozen bars
