2 cups flour
l=l/2 cups packed brown sugar divided
l-l/4 cups room temp butter, divided
l cup pecans whole or chopped
l tsp. vanilla
l-2 cups chocolate chips
Heat oven 350. Blend together flour, l cup brown sugar and l/2 cup of the butter until particles are fine crumbs. Pat into an ungreased 9xl3″ glass pan. Spread the pecans over the crust. Put the remining butter (3/4 cup), brown sugar (l/2 cup) and vanilla into a small saucepan. Cook over med heat stirring constantly. Bring to a full boil and boil for one min stirring constantly. Pour over the crust and pecans. Bake for 20 mins – do not overbake. Sprinkle the top with l-2 cups of chocolate chips. The amount depends on your prefernce for chocolate. Two cups will give you a fairly thick layer. When chips have melted spread them evenly over the crust with a butter knife. 24 good sized bars Penzy
