l loaf (l lb. day old french bread cut into l/2″ cubes
l-l/2 cups blueberries
l2 oz. cream cheese softened
8 eggs
l/2 cup plain yogurt
l/3 cup sour cream
l tsp. vanilla extract
l/2 tsp. cinnamon
l/2 cup milk
l/3 cup maple syrup
additional blue berries, optional
additional maple syrup
Place half of the bread cubes in a greased shallow 3-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with berries. In a mixing bowl beat cream cheese until smooth. Beat in eggs, yogurt, sour cream, vanilla and cinnamon. Gradually add milk and l/3 cup syrup until blended. Pour half over the bread. Top with remaining bread and cream cheese mixture. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 mins before aking. Cover and bake at 350 for 30 mins. Uncover; bake 20-25 mins longer or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Sprinkle with additional blueberries if desired. Let stand for 5 mins. Serve with syrup.
