APPLE CAKE MARTHA MAGAZINE

l stick butter, melted plus more for the pan
2 cups flour
l cup sugar
l/2 cup light brown sugar
l-l/4 tsp. baking soda
l./2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
l-l/2 tsp. ground ginger
l-l/2 lbs. apples peeled, cored and cut into l” chunks
l/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 large eggss, slightly beaten
powdered sugar for dusting
Heat oven 350. buttera 9xl3 pan; set aside. in lage bowl whisk together flour, sugars, baking soda, salt, cinamon, ginger aND NUTMEG
aDD THE apples, walnuts, buter and eggs; sgtir just until combined. spoon into pan, smooth with a spatule. bake 40-45 mins. or
until pick comes out clean. cool in pan. dust with powdered sugar to serve.
